I think the rate I got was lower because it was just after the holidays. Overall, we were happy with the room and weren't expecting a luxury experience. The wifi was non-existent in our room (Laurel bldg, which is furthest from the main buildings), but maybe that was a good thing, though my teenage daughter didn't think so! The walls are a bit thin, so you might be annoyed if you are a light sleeper and/or have noisy neighbors. The hot water was pretty instant and the shower pressure is good. The heating unit works well but is a bit loud. The fridge is small, but big enough for our short stay. The room amenities are pretty basic, and the coffee maker is one of those tiny ones that drip right into a cup instead of having a carafe. The gift shop has souvenirs as well as necessities and even some packaged frozen meals and a microwave. Most of the food was just okay but the pizza was actually pretty good. During the winter, most of the food options were limited so we brought most of our own food but visited Base Camp Eatery for a few meals. The Yosemite Falls trailhead was within walking distance, so we didn't get in our car for a whole day. Millions of visitors travel to the Coachella Valley every year, making tourism the largest employer and the number one contributor. Also, a view of the granite cliffs opposite the falls.

We had a view of Yosemite Falls when we stepped out of our door, and we even had a back door giving onto a little semi-private patio area and a small field full of snow and river within a few minutes walk. We stayed here for 3 nights in early January 2022.
The location is of course the best thing about this property. Overall, I would stay again, but this place needs some improvements. This is a very important piece of information but if youre not sure just take pictures of it. We could hear entire conversations in the adjacent rooms, and they sounded like people at normal volume (not yelling). Look under your pool table, a 3-piece slate will be broken into 3 separate pieces and you should see lines where they separate.If you only see 2 lines or even none, you may have a 1-slate. The walls were not sound-proofed enough. Wifi was very weak or non-existent (but this was mostly expected) and only worked in the lobby. Disappointing in-room coffee - I recommend bring your own instant coffee if you really want to have it in your room. The heater in the bathroom did not work, and so it was very cold. The main heater worked well, but it too kept waking us up in the middle of the night cause it kept making these ticking and banging noises. Luckily (or not) it wasn’t caught… but it didn’t bother us again. When reported to the front desk in the morning, a mouse trap was placed next to the trash in our room. The room was clean, but there were a few things that were annoying: - A mouse woke us up in the middle of the night as it rifled through the trash. Staff were helpful and overall the stay was good. Stayed in winter at Yosemite Valley Lodge.
